My name is Daniel Lecky, born and raised in Las Vegas, NV. I have always been passionate about creating things that are fantastical and story driven. I've been interested in art ever since I was young and watching Disney movies all the time. I majored in Animation at SECTA (SouthEast Career Technical Academy - my high school) and I made very impressive work. During my time there, I made the best 3d models of people that actually looked like anime characters. At just 17, I made a realistic 3D model of a human head and at the end of my senior year, was rewarded best senior animator of the year for my character models. I proceeded to make great works in NSU (Nevada State University) with 2D animations skills. Looking ahead, I want to bring in new ideas for stories, that are fun, whimsical, unafraid to be provocative, and take the audience out of their comfort zone. I want to create bold, immersive, impactful stories, rather than rely on cliches and recycled ideas and playing things safe. I want to bring stories that bring feelings, stories that are thought provoking and challenge the audience, and overall leave a lasting impression.
